Government adamantly opened the schools despite the fear of Coronavirus is lurking. The classes have started for ninth and 10th standard students and less than 50 percent of students chose to attend classes.
Only 39.6 percent of ninth standard students attended classes and only 43.65 percent of students from the tenth standard. 99 percent of all the government high schools were opened on the first day i.e., Monday. 88 percent of Teachers have attended submitting their COVID negative certificates.
The Government will randomly test the students and will close the schools if any positives were reported. On the other side, several private schools are still hesitating to re-open as the online classes are going on smoothly. Reports are that there is anxiousness everywhere with the danger of the infection.
The Government, however, assumes that things will be normal very soon. “There will be an initial stigma. Students and Teachers will very soon realize that life should go forward taking safety measures. If classes are not conducted, the Pass percentage will suffer,” a source in the Education Department.
